James R. Whitmore is the founding Managing Partner of Whitmore & Chen LLP. With nearly three decades of practice, he is recognized as one of the leading corporate attorneys in the country, specializing in mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, and complex commercial transactions.
Before founding Whitmore & Chen in 1987, James served as General Counsel at a Fortune 500 financial institution and was a senior associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Yale University and holds his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he served as editor of the Harvard Law Review.
